Sherry DeBray is an enlightening speaker who speaks on a variety of subjects to any number of groups. Her latest book, "The Teacher's Gift" gives her the opportunity to speak with students and teachers by providing lessons for the kids in mentoring to each other and inspiring teachers to go the second mile for their students through prayer. The praying teachers who focus their heart on the needs of each child becomes the tool Master Teachers use to make pearls of their children.
The teacher in the book inspires us with her second mile service for her students in this heartwarming Christmas story. Inspired by the true life of a retired teacher, Sherry creates this stirring emotional story of service and love. Students learn the benefits of giving and thinking of others before themselves from the lessons. By encouraging students to mentor each other it also instills strong faith in them by teaching them that focusing on their gifts not their weakness allows them to share their gifts with fellow students thus promoting growth and relationships. For example, an A student usually has organizational skills that a C student doesn't always have. C students are usually creative in the areas that A students lack at times. By bringing the two together they can grow from each others strengths while encouraging each other to grow in their weakness.

Other Books by Sherry DeBray
under review by publishers
"Don't Talk About Me While I'm Gone to the Bathroom", is a humorous title about a not so humorous subject, gossip. "He Raised Me To Wear A Crown", is a true story about Sherry and her daughter Emily who have battled against living with an eating disorder, panic attacks, cancer, and fear. Their story is one of victory in Jesus. "The Teacher in Me, a Lost Gift", is a book which shared the story of two women taking you through the seasons of life from secrets in the attic to the graveyard ending with a surprise twist.
Sherry is also a children's author. She loves children and taught at a Christian school for five years. Sherry has written "Lazy Dazy" which is the first of four books in this series which follows a lazy spider as it learns that what God says about being lazy is really true. Each character from Bonnie Bee to Squirrelly Worldly teaches a child a bible verse and a lesson that each fun character chooses to learn the hard way. Under review is “Angel With a Broken Wing” which is Sherry’s new Christmas story about a disabled 7-year-old boy named Tommy who finds Mr. Pete, the owner of a family owned drug store, sitting on a park bench at the foot of the town square Christmas tree. Mr. Pete, sad on this Christmas Eve, finds hope in the stories that Tommy tells of Jesus, opening our eyes to why Jesus was sent to us first as a baby and not as a man.
